March 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Did you know that when you buy or lease a new car that most auto manufacturers will help pay for a disabled driver to get a wheelchair lift, scooter lift, van conversion, hand controls, tie downs, and other adaptive equipment?  The reimbursement amount is different with every auto manufacturer and you have to have the claim submitted within a certain amount of months of vehicle purchase to be reimbursed.  But the money is there for you.  ScooterLink.com can show you how to take advantage of these programs.

Here's how it works.  Let's say you purchase a Ford Explorer and you decide you want to bring your power wheelchair or scooter with you on your travels.  With Ford you have up to six months from the time of vehicle purchase to submit your claim and they will pay up to $1,200 for your wheelchair lift or scooter lift.  Once you purchase your wheelchair lift from ScooterLink.com they will send out a technician to install your lift any where in the continental United States.  They will then give you the paid invoice to submit to your auto dealer for reimbursement.  It's as easy as that.  There may be some paperwork you need to fill out at the dealer but that will depend on each individual auto dealer.  ScooterLink.com's customer service agents will help you along the way and provide any information the auto dealer needs from them.

ScooterLink.com installs lifts and works with auto makers nationwide.  Their customer service agents are extremely knowledgeable on which wheelchair lift will work with your vehicle and model of power wheelchair or mobility scooter.  All you need to do is give them a call.  They make it that easy.  ScooterLink.com's toll free number is (888) 910-0444.
