March 13, 2012 - PRLog -- WHAT:  Las Vegas, NV - The Springs Preserve is proud to present an exquisite array of watercolor paintings from the Nevada Watercolor Society Spring Show. The Nevada Watercolor Society exhibit showcases 47 works by outstanding local watercolorists exploring subjects as varied as still life, abstracts, portraits and landscapes. Located in the Big Springs Gallery of the Origen Museum at the Preserve, the exhibit runs March 16 through May 6, 2012. Since its inception in 1969, The Nevada Watercolor Society has promoted watermedia in Southern Nevada. This exhibit is free for Springs Preserve members and included with general admission. OTHER:  The Nevada Watercolor Society was founded in 1969 to encourage, promote, and advance watercolor painting through the education of the artist and general public. Membership to the Society is open to the public, meeting on the second Wednesday of the month, September through May, and includes both presentations and painting demonstrations.
