By: Jonna Silverman Author , motivational speaker, professional skill instructor and youth hockey consultant Paul Lubanski, of Farmington Hills, MI, will visit Mountain View Elementary School in Kenai on Friday March 23, 2012 to read his recently released Alaska-based children’s book “Bonky, a Moose and the Magic Hockey Stick” to three classes of second grade students. Lubanski is the father of Kenai River Brown Bear captain Brett Lubanski. His appearance at Mountain View is being made both in conjunction with and on behalf of the Brown Bear organization. He will provide tickets and team photo giveaways for students and staff. The visit is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. Lubanski’s book, “Bonky, a Moose and the Magic Hockey Stick is aimed at inspiring and motivating young children and the entire story unfolds within the state of Alaska and the Kenai community. His second children’s book effort is entitled “Leave it to Coopie” will be released shortly That book profiles his real-life octegenarian dog “Coopie” and how the dog faces and overcomes life’s challenges post totally losing his vision.
