Nimby is using Indiegogo to help raise funds for capitol improvements and to purchase new equipment for Nimby, the San Francisco Bay Area's premier art production facility. More than just an art space Nimby is home to Glass Blowers, Fabricators, Artists, Craftspeople, jewelers, land speed racers, designers, film makers, world travelers and more. Located near the Oakland Coliseum Nimby provides a space rich with talent yet comfortable for the newcomer. Providing shop space unlike any other, Nimby has been able to provide needed space for creative people for the past seven years but now is looking for help from the community through Indiegogo.
Indiegogo is helping us spread the word about our campaign with a unique algorithm they call the gogofactor. Using their powerful social media tools we have launched our funding campaign and started sharing, tweeting, and encouraging people to “like” our campaign to boost our gogofactor. Raise it enough and we could be featured on their homepage.
Nimby has been home to the Steam Punk Treehouse featured on the Discovery Channel, Colossus shown at Burning Man and Makers Faire, LoveLoution bus, Ernie Miranda Glassworks, numerous music videos, movies, stage productions and more. Nimby provides a space where professionals and amatuers can perform without the exhorbanent cost associated with mainstream clubs and venues.
