PRLog - March 12, 2012 - Voted the "2011 Plus Pageant of the Year" by the Full-Figured Fashion Week organization
in New York City, the wildly popular Ms. Full-Figured USA Pageant, presented by JT Pageant Enterprises, the brainchild of plus size model/tv personality Theresa "Sparkle" Randolph, has been dazzling audiences in New Jersey and New York for the past 23 years. Beautiful women come in all shapes and sizes, and this spectacular pageant proves it!
And 2012 will be no exception -- Ms. Randolph and the 15 contestants for the crown are ready to shine for this year's stellar pageant, scheduled for Sunday, March 18th at 6:00 p.m., in the Grand Ballroom of the Robert Treat Hotel, 50 Park Place, Newark, NJ.
The lovely ladies, who hail from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and South Carolina, ranging from size 12 to 22, will compete for Ms. Full-Figured USA and for Ms. Exquisite Full-Figured USA (ladies age 40+).
The pageant's prize winnings include $3000 in cash and $2000 in prizes, and this year's pageant will honor legendary fashion industry icon Audrey Smaltz and Jeannie Ferguson of BGU (Big Girls United). Additionally, the contestants will compete in Daywear and Evening Gowns, as well as do a Question and Answer segment. The evening will also feature a Size-Sexy Fashion Show, Future Stars Fashion Show and Handsome Men Show. Judges will include Ms. Smaltz, designer Brandon Anthony and other notable fashion and beauty experts.
These gorgeous women will strut their stuff, representing the American woman far more realistically, size-wise, than the models that we see on television and in magazines. They are healthy and vibrant plus-sized ladies, who are summarily overlooked and underserved in fashion and in mainstream society; however, their sizes are actually part of the majority in this country.
With March being Women's History Month, these dynamic ladies are poised to make some truly memorable moments.
