Springer America Meets with South and Central American Pet Product Distributors at Global Pet Expo

March 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Springer America, exclusive distributor of the Springer Dog Exerciser in North and South America, announced a successful showing at Global Pet Expo 2012, held February 29 – March 2 in Orlando, Fla., an important step toward expansion plans into South and Central America.  

Springer America President, Kjell Ottesen, reported meeting with pet product retailers and distributors from Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, and Guatemala.  

Ottesen explains, “In addition to increasing our US and Canada distributorships, we are now focused on expanding into South and Central American markets.  That’s why it was so gratifying to discover how eager booth visitors from these countries were to learn about the Springer bike attachment.”

In fact, according to Ottesen, one visitor explained that key cities in Ecuador close their main highways every Sunday to encourage people to bike more often.  

At this conference, Springer America also showcased their new metal carabiner clip, replacing the plastic clip and adding a leash to their Safety Release Pack. This new repackaging is one of several redesigns that Springer will introduce this year.

According to Andrew Darmohraj, senior vice president of the American Pet Products Association (APPA), this year’s Global Pet Expo featured “more exhibitors and booths than ever,” with 890 pet product exhibitors and 2,452 booths.
