As of March 1st, the local business, which originally began serving Lackawanna and Luzerne counties in 2006, relocated from Scranton to Wilkes-Barre and now operates out of a 20,000 sq. ft. warehouse storage center located at One Passan Dr.
Overseeing operations at the new location is Kevin Barr, territory manger. Barr joined the company in Dec., 2011 and is responsible for customer service, employee oversight, delivery scheduling and day-to-day operations.
“The best thing about using PODS is the convenience of our product,” said Barr. “Our customers love the flexibility of being able to load their PODS® container on their own time table and having the option of storing it for a little or as long as they like.”
Barr, 32, brings a strong customer service background to PODS having previously worked as a web-development company call center director and sales director for a wireless radio company. In 2012, Barr plans to foster connections with the Wilkes-Barre business and nonprofit community and offer his company’s support to local organizations.
Barr is a graduate of King’s College and lives with his wife and three children in Dallas, PA.
