McGladrey Adds Dan Head to East Coast Health Care Practice

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 12, 2012 - VIENNA (March 12, 2012) – McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, which operates under the McGladrey brand as the nation's fifth largest provider of assurance, tax and consulting services, recently named Dan Head as principal in the business consulting health care practice for the Northeast and Southeast regions. Based in Vienna, VA, Head will be a key member of McGladrey’s national health care team (http://www.mcgladrey.com).

“We’re very excited Dan has joined the McGladrey team,” says Scott Vanlandingham, principal and Southeast region business consulting leader. “He has outstanding credentials in the health care field, most recently related to optimizing electronic health record technology and implementing health claims processing best practices to mitigate fraud, waste and abuse. His years of consulting experience will help us expand our health care-related services to businesses and governmental bodies on the East Coast.”

Head has more than 20 years of consulting experience, including leadership and executive roles with several of the nation’s largest national and regional consulting and accounting firms. He has also worked on the client side with corporations in the hospitality and pharmaceutical industries. Head’s accomplishments include leading and evaluating complex IT programs through the full systems development lifecycle, and integrating technologies such as business process management software, commercial off-the-shelf packages and custom-developed applications.

Head earned his undergraduate degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the College of William and Mary, and his MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. He is a certified project management professional and member of the American Council for Technology/Industry Advisory Council and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
