March 12, 2012 - PRLog -- On April 16-20, 2012, SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company, will participate in 18th World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (WCNDT) in Durban, South Africa. During the event, SGS will give two presentations on time of flight diffraction (TOFD) and hot hydrogen attack (HHA), as well as present a wide range of non-destructive testing (NDT) services at stands 20 and 21.

World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (WCNDT), held at the International Convention Center in Durban, South Africa, is one of the leading Non-Destructive Testing events worldwide.

The five-day event presents a perfect occasion for SGS to demonstrate its wide range of conventional and advanced NDT services (link to: http://www.sgs.com/en/Industrial-Manufacturing/Services-Related-to-Production-and-Products/Materials-Testing/Non-Destructive-Testing.aspx) and to forge new business contacts.

Based on its first-rate experience and expertise, SGS provides a wide portfolio of non-destructive testing techniques to locate and measure defects in products and assets, thus ensuring quality and safety. SGS’s scope of services covers both advanced and conventional non-destructive testing with a global NDT network of more than 35 countries. SGS can provide non-destructive testing services throughout an asset’s lifecycle, including the design review, procurement and installation phases, as well as during the operation of the asset. For each phase of an asset's lifecycle, SGS provides the most appropriate and efficient NDT method to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the asset.

Attendees of the WCNDT will have a unique occasion to learn more about non-destructive testing techniques during the two informative presentations on time of flight diffraction (TOFD) and hot hydrogen attack (HHA), scheduled from 10:15 to 10:35 am on April 18, 2012 and 3:30 to 3:50 pm on April 19, 2012, respectively. Held by Norbert Trimborn, Strategic Business Leader Advanced NDT at SGS, the presentations will provide interesting facts about the advantages and disadvantages of both NDT methods.

SGS (link to: www.sgs.com) is eagerly looking forward to the 18th World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing in Durban, South Africa and hope to convince the attendees that its range of services and breadth of expertise are practically unrivaled.
