Energy Up! Teams Up With Omega Water™ To Support NYC's First Sugar-free School

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 12, 2012 - New York, NY -- During the 2011-12 school year, ENERGY UP!, The Young Women’s Leadership School of Astoria (TYWLS), and The NYC Department of Education School Food Program began working to create NYC's first sugar-free school. Their mission is simple – To eliminate all products with added sugar. ENERGY UP! offers inspirational, educational events that educate and inform students, their families, faculty and staff about working harder towards a sugar-free lifestyle. These programs include:

                            . ENERGY UP! parent and daughter program
                            . Cafeteria takeovers and themed lunches
                            . Sugar-free pledge sign-ups
                            . "Watts up Doc" with ENERGY UP! Doctors and more!

This Wednesday, March 14th, in conjunction with St. Patrick’s Day, ENERGY
UP! will take-over the cafeteria at TYWLS of Astoria with their "All Green Lunch Hours.” The event will feature healthy salads, veggies, snacks, and OmegaWater™ the zero calorie, zero sugar beverage that has 100mg of Omega 3 and comes in four delicious fruity flavors.

Throughout the day, ENERGY UP! will showcase the newly improved salad bar and the new sugar-free salad dressings available to students in the cafeteria. Kathie Dolgin (aka High Voltage), the founder of ENERGY UP! will be leading the girls in ENERGY UP!
Shamrockin' Workouts featuring “Leprechaun Lunges” to keep the girls feeling fit, fab and fierce during each lunch period.

OmegaWater™ will be served to show the students, staff, and  teachers a great sugar-free alternative to soda.
