Galaxy Toastmasters is an open community club, meaning that anyone age 18 or over may join. The objective of Galaxy Toastmasters is to help its members improve both their communication, public speaking and leadership skills.
Galaxy Toastmasters is unique from other Toastmasters clubs in that this club will be a science fiction, science fact & fantasy themed club. Members will be encouraged to base their speeches and other public speaking projects on science fiction, fantasy, space travel, etc. Although being a science fiction fan is not mandatory for one to join, it will certainly make your experience in Galaxy Toastmasters much more enjoyable.
District 86 is one of 82 Toastmaster Districts spread across the world. District 86 covers the eastern coast of Lake Huron in Sarnia, to Sault Saint Marie on Lake Superior, to our northernmost club in Timmins, our eastern clubs in Markham, our southern clubs on Lake Ontario and on Lake Erie. District 86 presently has 190 corporate and community clubs.
Toastmasters International (TI) is a nonprofit educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking and leadership skills. Through its thousands of member clubs, Toastmasters International offers a program of communication and leadership projects designed to help men and women learn the arts of speaking, listening, and thinking.
