Double stick has been featured in many martial art movies, and is often used in fantasy or sci-fi movies when visually spectacular sword work is needed.
This course emphasizes the basics, including:
Stick handling, stick safety, double twirls, sinawali, the outrageous double sinawali, and double stick block and strike.
David is well known for his friendly and encouraging teaching style.
The course will be on Thursdays, from March 22 to April 26, from 3-4 pm.
It will be held at Water Mountain Martial Society, 2500 4th st. It is a short distance from the 4th street campus.
