Colliers International Brokers Recognized at 2012 ASVB Awards

March 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Colliers International once again made an impressive showing at this year’s Association of Silicon Valley Brokers (ASVB) awards banquet.  Duffy D'Angelo, a 31-year industry veteran, and Steve Gibson, who began his brokerage career in 1974, were both inducted into the ASVB Hall of Fame for their career achievements.  John Machado was honored as Retail Broker of the Year for 2011. For Machado, who is also a member of the ASVB Hall of Fame, it was his 10th Retail Broker of the Year award and his fifth consecutive win in this category.

Other recognitions for members of Colliers’ San Jose office included David Buchholz, finalist for Retail Broker of the Year; Ed Hofer, finalist for Industrial Broker of the Year; Andy Zighelboim, finalist for Investment Broker of the Year; and Jeffry Nochimson and Gregg von Thaden, finalists for Deal of the Year.  In addition, Rick Knauf of Colliers’ Redwood City office was a finalist for Land Broker of the Year.

In addition to supporting the commercial real estate industry of Silicon Valley, ASVB supports a number of local charities and the awards banquet included the presentation of charitable awards totaling over $137,000 to the association’s supported charities, Senior Housing Solutions, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence and the San Jose Family Shelter.
