Shermco provides sponsorship and training for PowerTest 2012

March 9, 2012 - PRLog -- DALLAS – Shermco Industries was a major sponsor and technical contributor of electrical training at PowerTest – 2012 Electrical Maintenance & Safety Conference, held Feb. 27 through March 1 at the Omni in Fort Worth, Texas.

A major sponsor for NETA’s 40th birthday party at Cowboy Stadium at the opening, Shermco also provided training for many of the educational tracks, as well as hands-on technical training at  Shermco’s Irving Texas repair facility for conference attendees on Thursday, March 1st.

Shermco professionals provided the following educational training: Calvin Earp, ‘Vibration Analysis and Testing of Rotating Machinery: A NETA Primer’ and was the moderator for a panel of experts discussing  Motors and Generators; Jim White, ‘Changes to 29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC: Cranes & Derricks in Construction’, ‘NFPA 70E - 2012 Edition Updates’ and was the moderator for a panel of experts discussing electrical Safety; Ron Widup, along with Kerry Heid of Magna Electric, ‘NETA Maintenance Testing Research on Electrical Power System Equipment Performance’; Pat Beisert led a ‘Power Transformer Symposium’ dedicated to power transformer testing and maintenance.
