Password protection provides security for the remote control operation. The user can lock out the front panel push-buttons, control the switch position and monitor the switch from a remote location via a 10/100 Base-T LAN Access Ethernet connection and TELNET commands. Eight push-buttons allow local individual control of the switch positions.
The Model 7328 saves wear and tear on computer equipment by eliminating the need to plug and unplug Cat5 RJ45 patch-cords. The unit switches all eight pins of the RJ45 interface and is transparent to data speed and format. Eight front-panel LED’s display switch position and power status.
PathWay® Model 7328 switch is housed in a 1U full rack size enclosure that fits into a standard 19” rack. This durable black anodized enclosure provides EMI/RFI shielding. The Model 7328 retains its last switch position in the event of power loss and continues to pass data. This reliable switch is certified to meet or exceed CAT5 performance.
The Model 7328 is supplied with a UL approved 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz wall mount power module that supplies 12 VDC, 500 mA to the unit. This module features a 2-prong, US, non-polarized plug. Optionally available is Cat. No. 517277, a CE, RoHS and UL listed table mount wide range power module. This module features 100VAC/240VAC, 50Hz/60Hz and an IEC 60320 C14 inlet that is ideal in supporting international applications.
