March 9, 2012 - PRLog -- The Veterinary Clinic needs the services of pre-veterinary students to serve as support staff at their branch locations. The intern will be involved in all aspects of their work, primarily in providing medical care for a variety of animals. The intern will also make house calls on clients accompanied by a veterinary doctor or veterinary assistant.

This veterinary clinic offers a client-centered practice, which means that their doctors and staff offer a welcoming, informative, and supportive experience from the moment the client walks through our door.

The clinic provides high-quality veterinary care, surgical techniques and dental care to pets in Accra, Ghana and surrounding areas. Since 1999 they have treated dogs, cats, sheep and goats while also providing basic care for exotic pet species, including birds, rabbits, reptiles and small mammals The goal of the Veterinary Clinic is to educate each client and offer each pet the highest quality of veterinary care available.

They believe in a holistic approach to veterinary medicine using complementary medicine. Thus, they address the entirety of the pet’s emotional, physical and environmental needs. The Veterinary Clinic believes in providing support and education for owners in order that they can care effectively for their pets from the beginning to the end of the pet’s life. To that end, a chief aspect of the clinic’s work is providing house calls to clients.

Some of the services offered by the Clinic include:

•   Vaccinations and annual examinations to keep pets healthy for life;
•   Dental examinations and cleaning (non-anesthetic dental cleanings too!);
•   Skin and Ear care;
•   Nutritional recommendations for all life stages;
