The Secret by Rhonda Byrne – There is no Secret!

March 9, 2012 - PRLog -- It never ceases to amaze me; the amount of crap there is out there on the law of attraction and "The Secret" – what secret?

For way to long now this has been allowed to go on with very few people daring to speak out and say what they really think. Is it because they are embarrassed? Is it because they think there is something fundamentally wrong with them if "The Secret" doesn't work for them.  Who knows…?

The truth is "The Secret" was very cleverly put together by a bunch of people who were out to make a fast buck. Do you really think they gave any thought or consideration to it actually working for anyone while they were making this?

Ok. Let me a few other questions.

Have you tried it and did it work for you?

Do you know anyone who has tried it and did work for them?

If "The Secret" was so great how did it prompt an influx of pseudo gurus claiming to have "The Missing Secret" or The Secret behind the Secret" or "What the Secret didn't Tell You." Or was this all part of a longer term plan to fleece the unsuspecting followers for even more of their hard earned cash?

Now you might be asking yourself, have I watched "The Secret" myself. The honest answer to that is yes I did. Eventually I got it. The punch line I mean.

What is really laughable is the way in which it is presented. According to some of the "STARS" all you have to do is sit on your backside and wish all that you want into existence. Apparently it's called manifesting. Close your eyes and visualise exactly what it is you want. Pretend you're driving the car of your dreams and living in a hilltop house. Before you know it "Alakazam" it's all there for you.

Now, do I believe there is a Law of Attraction? Yes absolutely. Do I believe that there are other universal laws that are part of our lives? Without a doubt. Do I believe I can sit on my rear and visualize, dream and affirm anything I want into my life? Are you kidding me?

So what about the people who have seen "The Secret" and say that it does work just the way they said it would?

Well here is my answer to that. By the law of averages it might just be possible for a few freak occurrences. More likely though is that the people who it did work for were doing some additional things to make it happen.

You might have heard the expression that "There is no such thing as a free lunch". That is what "The Secret" was offering. There may well be some innocents somewhere still scratching their heads and asking why is it not working for me?

Sooner or later the penny will drop.

There is a lot more to this than meets the eye and I will be writing a lot more on this subject which is close to my HEART… There is your first clue.
