Humanity Unbound: Innovation Event Draws Global Leaders to North Texas

Second annual Engineering and Humanity Week brings global humanitarian leaders to North Texas.

March 9, 2012 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX (www.eandhweek.org): The second annual Engineering & Humanity Week will take place in Dallas from April 16-20, 2012, bringing leaders from around the world to North Texas.  

The program will provide in-depth exposure to global economics, cultural awareness, collaborative leadership, and principles of sustainability.  “Through the power of engineering—steeped in practical solutions, collaboration with partners, and a commitment to the principles of humanity—we will work to meet the challenges of the developing world,” says Stephanie Hunt, the event’s founder and chairwoman.

Alex Betts   Professor and social scientist, University of Oxford, Refugee Studies Center

Amory Lovins
   Among the world’s leading authorities on energy and author of  Reinventing Fire: Bold Business Solutions for the New Energy Era

Annie Griffiths   One of the first women photographers to work for National Geographic, fellow with the International League of Conservation Photographers and co-author of Last Stand: America’s Virgin Lands.

Carl Hodges
   Founder and chairman of the Seawater Foundation and Co-Chairman of Global Seawater

Jeff Ball   Scholar-in-residence at Stanford University


Keith Leibowitz
   Emmy award-winning journalist


Sanjay Rawal   Founder of Illumine, a firm representing celebrity philanthropic interests, a board member for the Voss Foundation and the Global Syndicate, and a documentary filmmaker.

Sonal Shah
   American economist who served as Director of the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation in the White House and headed the Global Development Initiatives at Google.org.

Vijay Govindarajan (VG)   Celebrated economist, Professor of International Business at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, the Founding Director of Tuck's Center for Global Leadership and author of Reverse Innovation
