Aintree NHS initially approached RES Software to help the Trust reduce log-in and log-out times for clinical staff accessing PCs. After learning more about Dynamic Desktop Studio, the Trust’s IT team chose to widen the scope of the project to include improving user experience. This implementation is now part of the Trust’s wider initiative to improve service delivery and make IT more responsive to the needs of its users. This includes managing access to applications and printers dynamically, so users always have the right settings, services and software available to them wherever they are logging in from.

Aintree NHS is also currently planning its move to Microsoft Windows 7 across the Trust. Each user's settings can then be applied to the device that they are using at any given point, whether this is one that has been moved over to Windows 7 or remains on Windows XP.
