March 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Bloomberg Sports today announced that Julie Alexandria will join Rob Shaw as the co-host of “Ballpark Figures,” the popular online baseball show that looks at all aspects of the game, especially fantasy baseball recommendations and analysis. Now in its third season, “Ballpark Figures” is featured on a host of sites including USAToday.com and MLB.com, and this season will be a featured content piece for the pre- and post-game on- air offerings for Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals games on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN). The regular segments featuring Shaw and Alexandria will begin to air during spring training.

“We are very pleased to be able to add Julie to our team,” said Bill Squadron, head of Bloomberg Sports. “She has done some great work in sports and gaming, is a passionate baseball fan and consummate professional who will help us continue to spread the word about the amazing content we have available for fans through our ‘Front Office’ tools, as well as speaking to some of the biggest names in the game about the business of baseball.”

Alexandria, based in New York, is no stranger to the sports scene. She has hosted shows for such networks as MTV, SPIKE, CBS, FOX, BTN and SNY. The California State, Long Beach graduate was the original host of the sports trivia game show "Beer Money " on SNY, and later hosted  "Mets Weekly " for two seasons. She has traveled the country on the "Heisman Tour" for SportsIllustrated.com, interviewing past Heisman winners in honor of the 75 th anniversary of the famed trophy, and last year hosted the live daily pop culture show "the Seven" on MTV. Most recently she toured all of the Big Ten schools on the college football road trip show "Tailgate 48" for the Big Ten Network, and was halftime host on Fox for the first ever Big Ten Championship game.  Originally from Queens, Julie is an avid Mets fan, with an AL West crush on the Angels.

“Ballpark Figures” will provide regular analysis of all the goings on with Major League Baseball, geared towards the casual fan and the fantasy baseball player. The show will again have a series of guests joining Shaw and Alexandria to talk about baseball and analytics, as well as providing key tips on improving fantasy play using Bloomberg Sports “Front Office 2012” product. Shaw has been with the show since its inception three years ago.

Launched last week, “Front Office 2012” includes the most in-depth and easy to use tools for the fantasy baseball enthusiast. The product contains both a draft kit and regular season analysis tools, and now gives users the option to obtain instant updates via text and email on players on their roster through the new ALERTS! feature, and an additional feature designed to support leagues that are specific to the American and National League. Fans will also be able to obtain a free customized analysis of their fantasy team, showing how they compare to other teams on each scored stat, as well as receiving customized recommendations to improve their team. The product will retain all previously added features, including the ability to sync with the major hosting sites from Yahoo!, ESPN.com, and CBSSports.com as well as others, in order to easily tailor all recommendations to all fantasy team and player specifications.

The analytics of the consumer product are valuable for baseball fans in any fantasy league and give the subscriber the ability to use an almost endless amount of tailored, real-time information to make the best possible trade or replacement solution, as well as other decisions for their fantasy teams.  Details are available on BLOOMBERGSPORTS.COM.

Strategic partners for Front Office 2012 include:  Yahoo Sports, CBSSports.com, USA Today, MASN and SiriusXM as well as the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR).
