DCM Marketing Service Comments on the Green Home Company to create 100 jobs in Bridgend

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 8, 2012 - A solar energy company says it is creating 100 jobs in Bridgend as part of a major expansion. The Green Home Company, which installs solar panels, is creating 50 posts now, with plans to double its workforce by the end of February. DCM Marketing Service commented on saying “We at DCM Marketing support this to the full extent, as a country in the middle of a recession it is amazing to see that job opportunities are created whilst also being environmentally friendly”
The Green Home Company, which is based in Maidstone, Kent, will serve customers across Wales and south-west England. The work will start in south Wales with an initial team of 80, which is made up of 30 trainers and managers and 50 new jobs. Executive chairman Alan Proto said: "We are thrilled to have launched our new operations in Bridgend so that more people in the south-west region can benefit from our solar installations." However, workers at the AGI Shorewood factory on Ebbw Vale's Rassau industrial estate, Blaenau Gwent, have been told that the south Wales operation will be closed but they have been told not to fear as some of the workers may be asked to move to one of the companies other factories which are placed in Swindon, Slough or Dublin.
DCM  Marketing Services had this to say “Today’s society requires us to be environmentally friendly and nowadays just about everything are solar powered, so it is no surprise that big companies are investing in solar energy.”  Founder and executive chairman of the solar company, Alan Proto said: “We are thrilled to have launched our new operations in Bridgend so that more people in Wales and the south-west of England can benefit from our solar installations, the country has an increasing level of fuel poverty, and solar panels will allow our customers to see a real reduction in their fuel bills. The fact that we continue to grow in spite of the recent uncertainty is a real success story for the industry; we have demonstrated that green jobs and green growth are a reality.”
The building follows news the UK government lost its high court appeal to overturn the plans to cut subsidies for solar panels on homes are unlawful. The Court of Appeal rejected Energy Secretary Chris Huhne’s claim that he had the power to go ahead with the controversial scheme. Opponents say, if allowed, the proposals would put 29,000 jobs in the solar industry at risk.

DCM Marketing Services have said “This is a great building opportunity to be involved in and are looking forward to seeing the out come, in a recession it’s a horrid sight to see so many people out of work and so many businesses affected, we at DCM Marketing applaud The Green Home Company for creating these job opportunities” Only three weeks ago, the company said all Shorewood Packaging locations would fall under a new combined unit called AGI-Shorewood. AGI-Shorewood employs nearly 4,000 people worldwide and operates 24 manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. It also has five plastic injection moulding operations in the United States, UK, Germany and Poland.
