Liverpool Wood Pellets Appoint Michelle Stones as Financial Controller

March 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Liverpool Wood Pellets are proud to announce that qualified Chartered Accountant Michelle Stones has joined the company as the head of the accounts department.

Michelle explained, “I’m delighted to have joined Liverpool Wood Pellets, and am looking forward to using my skills and experience to help the company keep on growing, and provide the financial management a company this ambitious needs.  This is an exciting time for both myself and the company, and we’re both looking forward to seeing how we can grow and improve the business in the future.”

Michelle has come from a Chartered Accountant’s and has developed her sound financial knowledge working with local businesses to produce accurate figures and identify areas of opportunity.  Michelle continued, “Although very different from my previous role, I am keen to learn all about the business, and discover how using wood pellets and other wood fuels can not only save money, but will help to reduce the reliance on fossil fuels, and so are much better for the environment too.”

Liverpool Wood Pellets Sales Manager Andy O’Halloran commented, “Liverpool Wood Pellets is an expanding company, and so Michelle has joined us at the right time. We know that she will provide us with the ability and confidence to concentrate on what we do best, which is providing our customers with what they want.   We can now focus on ensuring that our products and service exceeds our customers’ expectations, without having to worry about the paperwork and the money side of the business.”

This will be a challenging role, and no two days will be the same.  Michelle will be in control of the whole financial system, from maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers to liaising with HMRC and producing our monthly and yearly accounts.

Maintaining an even tighter control over company finances is essential in the current economic climate.  Andy continued “Michelle will also be able to identify areas where cost savings can be made, as well as finding opportunities to increase revenue, and to ensure that we’re spending on the things that will bring in, or will save us money, rather than cost us.”
