Wick Phillips Adds Multilingual Associate to Broaden International Reach

March 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Wick Phillips Gould & Martin, LLP, a full-service business law firm, announces the addition of Sean Barrett as an associate in its Dallas office.  Barrett will support the firm’s growing corporate and finance practice, in addition to promoting business development within Dallas’ business community.    

Barrett, who is bilingual in French and English, spent more than three years practicing law in the Paris office of a Magic Circle law firm, where he represented a diverse international client base in connection with a variety of cross-border transactional matters.

In addition to his work overseas, for the past year Barrett served as in-house corporate and securities counsel for a Dallas-based real estate investment firm, and also spent the first three years of his career practicing general corporate law in the New York office of a large international law firm.

Barrett received his B.A. in psychology with distinction from McGill University and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he served as Executive Editor for Development of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review.  Bilingual since childhood, Barrett split his education between American and French schools in Dallas, Houston, Athens and Paris, and is also proficient in Spanish and Greek.

Barrett is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, and is admitted to practice law in Texas and New York.
