March 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Broken Publications is awaiting more submissions from all over the country to include in the first annual Soul Vomit anthology, the 2012 theme of which is Domestic Violence. The anthology will consist of poetry, short stories, prose, essays, art, and photography from victims, advocates, and friends of anyone who has been afflicted by a life of violence and made it out to tell their story and help other victims.

After a surge of submissions from the release of the initial press announcement, the submissions have slowed down considerably, so a reminder PR is being issued.
Domestic violence is a crime that happens behind closed doors and is, more often than not, unreported to authorities. Statistics for domestic violence are therefore inaccurate, and the victims often suffer in silence as their families are dominated by the abuser in their lives.

Awareness is growing steadily, but there are still too many women, children, and even men who are being abused and emotionally crippled by someone they love.

You are not alone!

Go to www.soulvomit.com and submit your works. Reach out to those who also suffer in silence, and inspire witnesses and onlookers to cast off their apathy and help those in need, especially the children.

Victims of domestic violence are terrified to report the crimes, fearful to make their escape, and often all they need is a friendly face to tell them that they’re right and shouldn’t have to settle for being victimized and afraid for the rest of their lives.

The hidden abuse must be stopped for domestic violence survivors to finally live in peace and hope for a terror-free future for themselves and their families. Submit your work today – you never know who’s heart you might touch and what action you might inspire.

Visit http://www.soulvomit.com for information on the submission page, how to help by donating to the production of this work, and for full submission guidelines, deadlines, and the planned release date of the book.
