National Lung Cancer Partnership Receives Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council’s Pacesetter Award

The National Lung Cancer Partnership is pleased to announce its Free to Breathe® nationwide event series has received a Pacesetter Award from the Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council in recognition of the short video, “Breathe Together."
 
March 7, 2012 - PRLog -- MADISON, Wis. – March 7, 2012 – The National Lung Cancer Partnership is pleased to announce its Free to Breathe® nationwide event series has received a Pacesetter Award from the Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council. The Best Video Creative award was given in recognition of the short video, “Breathe Together,” which promotes the Partnership’s Free to Breathe event series.

The Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council Pacesetter Awards honor outstanding athletic event fundraising program execution in a variety of categories, including Best Recruitment Brochure, Best Print Creative, Best Integrated Online Marketing, Best T-Shirt Design and Best Video Creative. The awards were announced today at the annual Run Walk Ride Fundraising Conference, held in Atlanta, GA.

“The National Lung Cancer Partnership is thrilled to be receiving this award,” said Jackie Ford, the Partnership’s Development Director of National Events “The response we’ve gotten from our event participants, donors and volunteers about this video has been overwhelming. The video, and the recognition it has gained through this award, reflect the dedication of people across the nation coming together to defeat lung cancer.”

Since 2006, the Free to Breathe event series has brought people together from across the country to raise over $5.6 million in support of the Partnership’s lung cancer research, awareness and education programs. ”Breathe Together” shows dozens of volunteers linking hands to form a moving image that reflects the hope and spirit of Free to Breathe events.

David Hessekiel, President of the Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council’s Cause Marketing Forum, praised the Partnership for its creativity and innovation. "Kudos to the National Lung Cancer Partnership for creating the winning video in our annual Run Walk Ride Pacesetter Awards competition," said Hessekiel. "The Partnership is to be commended for producing such an engaging, professional video on a small budget by utilizing pro bono marketing services and volunteer talent."
