March 7, 2012 - PRLog -- An episode of BBC Radio 4’s popular ‘Poetry Workshop’ recently featured The Dylan Thomas Centre and is now available to listen to on iPlayer.

’Poetry Workshop’ explores the excitement and pleasures of writing and reading poetry and in this episode leading poet Ruth Padel works with members from Swansea group Junkbox Poetry and readers from The Crunch poetry night, held at Mozart’s in the Uplands.

Ruth works with various creative writing groups across the UK, leading the workshops and discussing their poems.

During the episode Ruth said the Dylan Thomas Centre was “the grandest place I’ve ever seen associated with a poet” and “here under the aegis of Dylan Thomas, there’s an awful lot of cultural difference coming together… [and] real interest in writing poems together”

Dylan Thomas Centre attendant Alan Kellermann was one of those included in the programme. His first poetry collection will be published by Parthian Books in September.

The programme was originally broadcast on Radio 4 on Sunday 4 March and is now available on BBC iPlayer.
