Mr. Rod is the author of “Denver Nights”, a murder mystery, which was released in October of 2011. A riddle was embedded within the book and the $15,000 prize was offered to the first person to correctly solve the question. The contest was sponsored by PLW, LLC.
Mr. Diamond, the contest winner, is an independent computer consultant based in Tucson who provides executive-level guidance on using information technology in business processes and marketing.
Geoff Rod is a former Network and Systems Engineer who currently serves as an independent consultant in the Denver metropolitan area. Prior to moving to Colorado, Rod resided in Tucson where he attended the University of Arizona and first began working in the field of technology. Rod has written numerous fictional short stories and screenplays, and non-fictional technical documents.
Denver Nights is his first publication.
It was while considering the release of the book that the Denver Nights contest was conceived. While taking pains to craft a novel Rod felt would be enjoyable, he also recognized the challenges of publishing a book in a very competitive market. The question “How does an author successfully promote a book?” was a constant thought. The result, embedding clues within the manuscript, and tying a $15,000 grand prize for the first correct answer, was the result.
