2011 Helena Montana Market Report

As you've seen in previous newsletters, we post the monthly residential sales on our site so you can follow the market.  We also post the yearly stats so you can see what's been happening over the last several years.  In the stats we collect, in order to get a better picture of what's happening with the housing market, we use specific criteria when we pull the data from our local MLS.  We only look at single family residential and do not include condos or mobile homes and we stay in the general Helena area, but do include Montana City, Jefferson City, Clancy, Marysville, and Canyon Creek areas.  The number of houses sold were slightly up, and prices were slightly down. The number of days on market was also just slightly up.  Overall, the market hasn't been terrible, but it has been a buyer's market.  Sellers are giving up a little more and buyer's are asking for more.  In order to sell, you have to be priced right.  Check out the stats.  If you have questions or would like us to do a market analysis on your house, or to see what the stats are for your neighborhood, give us a call.  You can see the stats on our website at http://teamliedlerealestate.com/resources/market-report.html.
