Ever wonder what is happening Beyond the Beach? Local Show is up for State Award

March 12, 2012 - PRLog -- There is so much happening in the LBI Region that getting the message out in every direction is necessary; that is why The LBI Region DMO partnered with LBI TV, produced by Michael Paul & Associates to offer tourism oriented programming reaching over fifteen thousand home and business cable subscribers on Comcast Channel 22. The partnership began in 2009,  as a joint public relations effort was created to reach in-season visitors to promote off-season events happening in the Long Beach Island Region year round. These  video segments would make up approximately 15 to 20 minutes of each hour long episode of LBI TV. The segments change every month, and air during May, June, July, August and September.

“Beyond the Beach”, a name designed to give shore visitors reasons to plan repeat visits year round are scripted and hosted by Destination Marketing Director Lori Pepenella, and shot by Steve Acito, a 2 time Emmy Award nominated producer director, and co-founder of Bluewire Media. The Beyond the Beach segments inform, educate and entertain. They cover a variety of topics, from pre and post season events, cooking demonstrations by local chefs, and profiles of local businesses, to save-the-date messages to help visitors plan in advance popular off season events such as the Wedding Road Show, various environmental events, Chowderfest Weekend, holiday activities like the Annual Ship Bottom Christmas Parade and winter promotions such as Chocolate Week and The Polar Plunge.

Beyond the Beach segments air 10 times every day during the summer season on LBI TV cable channel 22. The airtimes cover every day part: Mornings at 8,9,10 & 11am; Afternoons at 4, 5 and 6pm; Prime Time at 8:30 & 9:30pm, and Late Night at 12 Midnight. In addition an aggressive on air broadcast schedule, segments can be viewed online at LBITV.com and through the VisitLBIRegion website portal.
