March 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Texas business trainer and solutions consultant Sarah Zink is working with Broken Publications and the Women’s Broadcast Network to release a highly-anticipated book entitled 20 Tips for Power Chicks, a work geared toward helping women overcome some of their biggest and most annoying challenges in communication, behavior, and time management.

With sections on communicating with co-workers, using language to make a positive impact, and why appearance is a major factor in personal and business success, Zink brings valid points and blunt humor together in this fun-to-read book of useful strategies and tools.

In association with the Women’s Broadcast Network, Zink is working toward multiple goals of advancement, including launching a local radio show on women’s personal and professional issues. Based in Texas, Zink makes it clear to listeners and readers alike that she means business and wants to help other women get ahead in life and in their respective career fields.

Good-natured and appropriately humorous, 20 Tips for Power Chicks contains nuggets of useful tips for success in the workplace:

“All too often, women have a sense that they simply aren’t heard or taken seriously. Much of that can be tracked back to a cause/effect in their communication style. Developing a powerful yet personal communication style that avoids submissive language, gives specific ideas instead of suggestions, and handles men’s ‘debating’ style of vetting ideas will give every woman tools to use, personally AND professionally.”

In her section on submissive language, Zink covers what most of us would consider normal, nervous language or regular speaking habits – we don’t think anything of it, but are actually sending messages that undermine our own authority, which Zink goes on to clarify, define, and offer solutions for.

“Submissive language is one of the most subversive and damaging habits we can develop. This style of communicating weakens our message and makes us sound unsure or unknowledgeable. Most often, we develop these habits to avoid sounding like a ‘pit bull with lipstick; however, there’s a middle ground that has a more powerful impact. Consider avoiding using ‘hedges’: kind of, sort of and maybe. These phrases diminish the power of your thoughts. The solution? Simply remove them from your vocabulary.”

These are just a couple of the practical tips provided in Zink’s upcoming book. Scheduled for release in print and eBook formats on March 15th, women everywhere are bound to not only enjoy this book but also use it as a tool to gain influence, achieve goals, and be heard - personally AND professionally.

Zink has a proven track record of business success and practical solutions for the everyday problems businesses face. With her expertise and an honest approach to the issues, Zink provides a comprehensive and applicable look into the life of women in business, with solutions to problems they may not even be consciously aware of.

Broken Publications was commissioned to help with this book’s publication in print and eBook formats.
