eMedicalFusion launches eRx Connect, a New Application for Prescribing Compound Medications

eRx Connect is different from the major pharmacy networks in that eRx Connect provides a direct connection with compounding pharmacies.  This connection allows prescribers to create prescriptions by directly using the compounding pharmacy’s formulary which avoids the tedious task of creating and managing formulary entries in traditional e-prescribing tools.  This capability saves time and ensures precise communication with pharmacies.  For pharmacies that do not use the Compounder Rx by PCCA, eRx Connect can still deliver prescriptions to them by secure fax.  And while the system is optimized for compound medications, the system contains a standard drug database and a listing of over 75,000 pharmacies nationwide for prescribing standard medications from regular retail pharmacies.
