Students of El Dorado Community School Join McCarthy NM Collecting Canned Food for The Food Depot

March 5, 2012 - PRLog -- McCarthy NM and El Dorado Community School are teaming up to help some of the most disadvantaged children and families in Santa Fe County by hosting a canned food drive to gather much needed donations for The Food Depot, a food bank that serves community programs including Food 4 Kids, Teen Parent Center, Youth Shelters and Family Services, Boys & Girls Club, and Esperanza shelter for homeless families. The project will help to restock bare shelves at the food bank, which are commonly empty this time of year. All donations must be canned food only, no boxes, glass or bags.  

WHO:   Students at El Dorado Community School, McCarthy NM and its sub contractors, and caring community members who want to help those in need are asked to donate cans of food.

Each classroom will have a donation bin for students to leave their canned food, and the school is having a competition between each home room for the most donations.    

WHEN:    February 29, 2012 -March 9, 2012

WHERE:   2 Avenida Torreon in Santa Fe, New Mexico (Located off Highway 285 in the community of El Dorado)

Donations from the community can be made at the school.  A bin for these community donations will be kept in the school administration trailer.
