Mellow Mushroom Avondale's Inaugural Pizza Plunge

March 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Charleston's most "theatrical" restaurant, Mellow Mushroom Avondale, will be center stage on Wednesday March 28 when they celebrate their first anniversary as only the avant garde pizzeria could:  by giving guests a chance to win free pizza for one year in the inaugural pizza plunge.

When the clock strikes 6pm, 80 lucky participants will get the opportunity to dress up in goggles, aprons, gloves, and more, in order to tear through more than 100 feet of pizza for three minutes collecting random tokens that will be baked throughout the thick doughy pizza. Once the marinara stops flying, the value of all the tokens will be revealed, and two lucky guests will win free pizza for one year.  There will also be prizes for best-dressed contestant.  

The pizza plunge is free to enter, but participants should register by emailing  jonah@mellowmushroomchs.com since space is limited to 80 people.  

After the pizza plunge, the party will continue with a DJ spinning until late night.  Drink and food specials will be served all night.
