Spring Piano
The free lesson promises to show anyone how to play piano and improvise their own music in the Key of C Major.
The owner of the site, pianist and composer Edward Weiss has this to say about it:
“Spring is my favorite season. Everything comes alive after a deep Winter’s sleep. The free lesson I offer isn’t exactly about Spring, but it’s close enough. It shows the beginning adult how to create a tranquil ’morning mood’ on the piano - a perfect way to ‘break in’ the new season.”
For those who don’t know what ‘New Age’ piano is, according to Weiss it’s a free-flowing, gentle style of piano playing that gets a lot of it’s inspiration from nature.
Weiss comments:
“Trying to capture nature’s beauty via art isn’t anything new. Artists have been doing it for centuries. But we really haven’t had anything ‘new’ so to speak, in this area until New Age piano became popular with the advent of pianist George Winston’s CD ‘December.’
