Feeding The 5000, Inc Expands to North Kansas City to end Child Hunger

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 5, 2012 - The non-profit organization Feeding the 5000, Inc. based in Grandview, Missouri has expanded their feeding program to the Northland. The main focus of the program was for the at-risk youths in the downtown Kansas City area, but found that it’s not just the inner-city after school programs that need help.

Feeding the 5000, Inc. has added Huddle Tutoring, which helps tutor kids in 5 different North Kansas City schools, to their ever growing list of organizations to help feed kids in after-school programs. Since the launch of their feeding program in December of 2011, Feeding the 5000, Inc. has been providing snacks and meals to 23 different Kansas City organizations.

To date, Feeding the 5000, Inc. has served close to 10,000 kids.  Most locations that participate in the feeding program have 25-150 students that come to their facility and Feeding 5000 feeds them all. Churches, libraries, schools and organizations that help support programs such as tutoring, extra-curricular activities and safe havens for kids have benefited from the meal program.
