PRLog - March 5, 2012 - MUMBAI, India -- The first edition of Secutech India, a trade show for security and safety technologies and solutions, opened at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. It took place from 1 – 3 March 2012, the show was organized by Asian Business Exhibition & Conferences Ltd (ABEC) and Messe Frankfurt and had attracted over 150 exhibitors in 10,000 sqm of exhibition space.
Mr Parson Lee, Managing Director for Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media remarked at the opening ceremony: “I am happy to launch India’s first Secutech show, which now brings the number of Messe Frankfurt’s global network of security trade shows to seven. Our first Secutech India has security industry players from six countries and regions, with exhibitors from China, Korean and Taiwan forming individual pavilions to display their latest products.”
Due to economic growth and rising security awareness in India, the need for security products and services is increasing, making India a huge potential market for the security industry. The three-day show attracted more than 20,000 professional visitors.

Also joining the opening ceremony were M. V. Deshmukh, Director Maharashtra Fire Services, Capt. Percy Jokhi , CSO of First Source, Mr. Paramjeet Sahi, CMD - NISA Global, Mr. Aditya Khemka, CEO & Director (Aditya Group), Capt. Kannan, AGM (Security)- Central Bank Of India and a special visit by Mr. K.L. Bishnoi, Addl. Director General of Police (P & C), Maharashtra State.
Among the exhibitors who attended Secutech India were important industry players such as Aditya, Axis, Axxon, Everfocus, Hikvision, Honeywell, Innovative, Merit Lilin, Nice, Nisa Global, Nitin Fire, Schneider, Zicom and Z-Plus.
At the show, visitors were able to enjoy easy and convenient sourcing at the one-stop platform which had four products zones dedicated to the electronic security, fire & safety, homeland security and information security sectors.
Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF) offered comprehensive market information from new technologies to solutions
Secutech India is also an information exchange platform for the security industry. The Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF) held today provided visitors with opportunities to interact with representatives of leading industry companies. The theme of GDSF is “New Technology & New Solution for India”, and speakers included representatives from Axis, Autocup, Cisco, Firetide, Nice, Nisa Security, Reliance, Vivotek, as well as the Asian Professional Security Association. Issues on HD surveillance, transmission and integration were discussed.
