Informatica Qatar (iQ), exclusive distributor & service provider for Huawei devices, has announced that it is opening a new service center on March 5, 2012 at Doha’s Najma area that will provide full after-service support for Huawei devices.
The IT firm has been expanding its support services particularly for Huawei devices as it is the exclusive distributor and service provider for the Chinese smartphone vendor in Qatar. It recently announced that it would make the ‘Huawei Ascend P1 S,’ the world’s slimmest smartphone, available locally by the second quarter of 2012.
Ghasham Group is the latest addition to iQ’s mobile retailer partner network in Doha. Currently one of the leading business houses in the lower Gulf region and one of the top mobile phone retailers in Qatar’s capital city, the Group has more than 25 retail outlets spread across Doha. iQ will capitalize on Ghasham Group’s key outlets in Souq Najada, LULU Airport, LULU Garrafa, the Industrial Area and Barwa Village.

Qatar is one of the region’s most attractive mobile phone markets, with reports estimating mobile penetration rate at over 100 per cent and predicting a rise to 201 per cent by 2014. Mobile handset sales in the country are expected to total QR 295 million by then.
