St. Louis' Esse Health Expands Services, Urology Division and Urologist Kent Adkins, MD

March 3, 2012 - PRLog -- ST. LOUIS – St. Louis physician group Esse Health today announced the creation of a urology division, which will be led by Kent Adkins, MD, effective Thursday, March 1. Esse Health CEO Mike Castellano made the announcement.

“The addition of Dr. Adkins is a natural extension of our patients’ medical home and provides our patients with the comfort that they will be seeing another physician in the Esse Health family,” said Castellano. “We want our patients well, which is why it is important we have the ability to care for them across the entire continuum of care.”

Dr. Adkins specializes in adult urology with extensive training in female incontinence and prolapse surgery, urologic cancer surgery and reconstructive procedures. He will be seeing patients at SSM DePaul Health Center at 12255 DePaul Drive, Suite 845, in Bridgeton, Mo., and the Walker Medical Building located at 12855 North Outer Forty Drive, Suite 230, in Town & Country, Mo. Dr. Adkins graduated summa cum laude from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania before attending the University of Virginia School of Medicine, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Alpha Omega Alpha is the only national honor medical society in the world. Dr. Adkins trained in Urologic Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three-year-old twins and two-year-old.
