March 3, 2012 - PRLog -- The fest consisted of variety of events which included Science Exhibition, Band of Music, Debate, Quiz, Dance competition, Photography and many more.
During the fest, a group of Btech students (Rohit Kejriwal, Abhishek Tiwari, Brijesh Kumar and Ajay Mishra) from the Electronics and Communication Department presented an innovative project in the Science Exhibition which was named “Automatic Signaling”. In this project, the students devised a mechanism based on piezoelectric sensor which can create an automatic signal that uses piezoelectric effect to measure strain or force and can convert it into electrical charge for the signaling purpose. Such mechanism can prevent railway hazard when two trains are accidentally moving on the same track. Indian railway at this present moment is not implementing fully automatic signaling process and as per the students this fully automatic signaling process can be utilized for safety measures. The group got inspired by the recent railway hazard which occurred at Sainthia, West Bengal and proposes to display their project to the State so that future hazard can be prevented for the betterment of the society.
Similarly a duo of Electronic and Communication Department of Heritage ( Debapom Ghosh and Jyotirmoy Guha), in the same exhibition presented a project on 360 degree optical illusion which can show a time clock by a vibration of a motor. The same duo also presented a project on embedded technology where a person can save electric energy in his home and can get random alerts if there is any intruder in the home.
