The five-star rating is the highest rating given by CMS. The rating indicates that Valle Verde is performing at a level well above average for the state of California. The rating is based on scores in health inspections, employee time spent with residents and clinical quality measures. The federal government mandates the annual health inspections for all communities that provide skilled nursing care.
“We are proud of the scores Valle Verde received,” said ABHOW senior vice president and chief operations manager Jeff Glaze. “ABHOW welcomes these surveys and monitors the results to help us continue to provide quality care for our residents. Our hope is that people considering a move to a senior living community use ratings like these as part of their decision-making process.”
Valle Verde is also accredited by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission; accreditation is awarded to CCRCs demonstrating excellence in governance and administration, financial resources and disclosure, and resident life, health and wellness.
In building on their tradition of quality, Valle Verde is adding 40 new residential living apartments to the campus and renovating several of their community amenities. They will break ground on this transformation in summer 2012.
