The transition to cloud computing has been talked about as one of the most profound shifts occurring in technology in decades.  The movement is also being carried along by additional trends from consumers that are affecting corporate IT. The increase in the diversity of devices and ubiquitous Internet connectivity are just a couple of factors changing how people work. But technology is just an enabler to what is possible. In this session you'll learn more about what is driving cloud adoption and how organizations are leveraging the cloud to accelerate innovation and maximize efficiency. Plus, you'll see a demo of just one example of how Microsoft's public cloud solutions coupled with mobility are changing the future of productivity.

About Maggie Chan Jones

As Director of Cloud Services and Office 365 in the U.S. Marketing and Operations Group, Maggie is responsible for leading Microsoft’s commercial cloud services marketing strategy in the US, which spans across Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Private Cloud.  Maggie also directs a product marketing team to drive the product and marketing strategy for Office 365, the next generation of cloud-based business productivity offerings, in the US.  These products include Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Lync Online and Office.  Maggie is responsible for current revenue performance, market share growth, and long-term success of Microsoft’s cloud businesses.  Day-to-day, she directs Go to Market (GTM) activities, customer campaigns, competitive campaigns, and participates in customer and partner engagements.

Prior to joining the U.S. team in June 2009, Maggie spent two years in the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Group, leading a cross-company initiative to roll out a partner opportunity framework for cloud services and launched the partner model for Microsoft Business Online Services. She also launched the Small Business Specialist Community, and led the strategy for global small business customer marketing campaigns since joining the company six years ago.

Before joining Microsoft, Maggie held various product marketing and channel development positions at Sun Microsystems and ADIC.

Originally from Hong Kong, Maggie received her BS in Business Management, from Binghamton University and also holds an executive master of business administration (MBA) from Cornell University. Maggie, her husband, and their dog Charlie, live in Sammamish, Washington.  Outside of work, she enjoys playing competitive tennis, wakeboarding, and being a beta tester of her husband’s latest home automation projects.
