The research and innovation project was carried out in the state of the art climate controlled chambers at Airmid Healthgroup in conjunction with their integrated ISO accredited allergen analysis facility, the only one if its type in the world.
The data will be presented at the American Academy of Asthma Allergy and Immunology (AAAAI) Annual Meeting 2012 in Orlando Florida from March 2-6.
As a world leading bio-medical research organisation Airmid help clients across a number of sectors improve, add value and differentiate their customer offerings, products and services through a focus on data, health impact claims and air quality.
The AAAAI Annual Meeting draws the allergy/immunology specialty's academic and clinical leaders to showcase new research and discuss other developments in allergy, asthma and immunologic diseases. The meeting is attended by more than 7,700 allergist/immunologists, related physicians, allied health professionals and industry representatives.
Presenting data at this prestigious American meeting follows on from a recent showcasing of another project at the European Innovation Convention where that project was presented to the European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn.
‘We are very excited to be showcasing the study data at a such a prestigious event and are looking forward to the thought provoking debate the data will stimulate’ said Dr Angela Southey one of the lead researchers on the project. The exact nature of the exciting research is press embargoed until after it has been presented at a special session at the meeting.
