The 2012 Civil War Kids Camp is scheduled for the Friday of spring break for Spotsylvania County students, (Friday, April 13, 2012). Registration ends March 30,2012
This camp is open to children ages 7-14.This hands on camp will teach children what life would have been like during the Civil War. They will visit various learning stations throughout the day.

Spend the Day Learning About:
Military Life–Come enlist in the Army and learn what it was like to be a Civil War soldier
Civilian Life-Children as spies, nurses, women soldiers, field hospital, being a child in the 1860’s, home-life
History–National Park Service Historian will take kids on ground where battle actually took place, tell stories about soldiers and civilians who were there during the Civil War.
And Much More...
Children that attend the Civil War Kids Camp will receive two (2) free tickets to the 2012 Civil War Reenactment, being held on Saturday & Sunday, May 19-20, 2012.
