PRLog - March 2, 2012 - HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A new web series, filmed right here in Harrisburg, PA, is getting lots of buzz, thanks in part, to an article printed in the New York journal SYM Magazine. The journal contains an article written by Harrisburg native and contributing editor J Blair Brown, and also features Brown's cover story on artist, author, poet and philanthropist Danny Simmons, who is also co-founder of HBO's Def Poetry Jam, among other accomplishments.

While it is Simmons' photo which grace the cover of the magazine, the bold copy on its front page is undeniable. It reads, "Hamilton Street, the web series - A small city becomes the talk of the town." It could not have been stated better: the cover is slated to appear in Times Square - a coveted spot for any story over the wires.
Hamilton Street is the brainchild of Harrisburg's own Nathan Gadsden and Michael Giovanni. It tells the story of urban blight and focuses on multi-dimensional characters such as Tito Williams (masterfully portrayed by Giovanni), who blatantly disregards the law; his nemesis Marshall Rittenhouse (played with intensity by Leland Martin); Kiana Rollins, the woman who stands between them (by newcomer and Harrisburg native Kelcee Roberts); and, rounding out the foursome, the unethical city detective Ritchie Logan (played effectively by Mike Mowen).
Hamilton Street is expected to launch online to an international audience later this month.
