Filmmakers use the web to bring acclaimed documentary on Fatima to a new audience.

March 2, 2012 - PRLog -- Finding Fatima, a documentary on the apparitions of Fatima is currently being distributed on DVD in America, UK and France and has already won critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.

The film was written and directed by brothers Ian and Dominic Higgins. The pair were keen to embrace the World Wide Web and the new opportunities it offers of reaching audiences with their film.

“Over the last decade the internet has involved into a worldwide multi-media platform, DVD distribution is no longer the be all and end all for independent films”, said Ian.

Dominic continues, “It’s changed the way we listen to music, play games and now it’s changing the way we watch movies, so for us it was the next logical step to take with the distribution of Finding Fatima”.

VOD is a system that allows users to select and watch video content on demand via their home PC’S, laptops or mobile devices. And with Android and Apple phones getting ever and ever smarter, it’s set to increase in popularity.

Finding Fatima takes us deep into a story of faith, persecution and miracles.

In 1917, just outside a small town called Fatima in Portugal, three young Shepherd children made an extraordinary claim that they had been visited by a lady from heaven, a lady “brighter than the sun”.

The series of events that followed, would resonate around the world, and culminated in what has been described by many, as the greatest miracle of the 20th century, an event witnessed by over 70,000 people.

The documentary aims to bring the message of Fatima to a new audience by presenting the complete story with dramatic reconstructions and interviews with many leading experts on Fatima.
