McCarthy Building Companies Promotes Steve Poulin to Project Director, Education Services

March 1, 2012 - PRLog -- McCarthy Building Companies Inc. (www.mccarthy.com) recently promoted Steve Poulin to Project Director for the Education Services business unit of the Southwest division.

In this new position, Poulin will oversee K-12 projects in Arizona and will forge a true collaboration with the owner, design team and subcontractors; serve as a liaison between the office and field team; champion job-site safety efforts and proactively manage project budgets and schedules. He previously served as project manager.

Poulin joined McCarthy in 1993 as an intern on the 23rd Avenue Wastewater Treatment project. He joined the Education Services team in 2004 and has since completed more than 15 projects. He also has the distinction of completing two of our most challenging fast-track projects, including Barry Goldwater High School and Madison Traditional Academy.

In addition to his education experience, Poulin has a diverse building background, leading teams on a wide variety of projects, including the Esplanade Condominiums and Scottsdale Water Campus.

Poulin has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Arizona State University. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the U.S. Green Building Council and the Council of Education Facility Planners International.
