New York based fashion model Kahshanna Evans (www.KahshannaEvans.com)
joins the cast of New York top models for BET’s 2012 televised fashion and music event scheduled to air on March 21st at 10P/9C. Although her most notable campaigns focused on Kahshanna as a classic beauty she takes a walk on the wild side for the upcoming fashion show which features up and coming fashion talent the Clemmons twins and top model Shaun Ross and include performances from iconic female rapper Lil Kim. Having over a decade experience as a fashion model Kahshanna has worked with Essence Magazine, Cosmo Magazine, Elle Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine and designers Armani, Ralph Lauren, Xang Toi, the Vessel. by Lois, Sonia Rykiel, Hassan Pierre and Rachel Roy. Kahshanna's acting credits include having worked for HBO, ABC and NBC including her supporting role for Law&Order:SVU (Episode Rooftop). Her cameo's in Epic Movie, the model spoof Zoolander and the Chris Rock Show were a perfect fit for her humor.
After years of working as a professional model Kahshanna dedicated several years to researching wellness work and indigenous culture study through The Four Winds Society. Now with a focus on inspiring others she has a guiding philosophy of her own. ‘Fashion is the accessory and sometimes people get that turned around,’ is Kahshanna’s view of the fashion and modeling industry, ‘it’s not the clothing that makes the woman timeless but it’s the woman that makes clothing, design, fashion and femininity timeless.’
