“We are thrilled to receive such a heartfelt donation from Grace and RecoveRead,”
Ring has donated books to hospitals all over Westchester County. The idea for the foundation came several years ago when Ring, a brain tumor survivor, was hospitalized for surgery and found herself with little reading material. Now 14, she organizes book drives and raises funds to buy books for hospitalized children.
“I'm grateful that RecoveRead books bring a smile to so many sick and sad kids,” Ring says. “It sure brings a smile to my face!"
Blythedale opened a new $65.3 million, 56,000 square-foot inpatient hospital building in December 2011, and the Family Resource Center accommodates the needs of parents and family members who spend extended periods of time visiting patients at the Hospital. The books will used in the Family Resource Center’s Sibling Playroom and enjoyed by patients and their families.
