The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Greater Chicago has been chosen as the non-profit to benefit from The Signature Room's Charity of the Month program. Throughout March, the non-profit will receive 10 percent of sales from the Signature Menu.

PRLog (Press Release) - Mar. 1, 2012 - CHICAGO, Ill. – The Signature Room at the 95th continues its year-long Charity of the Month program with The National Alliance on Mental Illness of Greater Chicago (NAMI) as the beneficiary. Throughout the month of March, the non-profit will receive 10 percent of sales generated from the Signature Menu in the main dining room. The program fashioned by owners Rick Roman and Nick Pyknis, has donated upwards of $918,000 to over 200 organizations since its inception in 1993.

Just as the recipients of the Charity of the Month change, the Signature Menu does the same. The unique a la carte menu offers an array of tasty options to indulge in. Enjoy the view from the dining room on the 95th floor with the Signature Sunset cocktail crafted with Knob Creek Single Barrel bourbon and blood orange juice. Starters include smoked sockeye salmon with potato blini, capers, olive crème fraiche and caviar; a ridicchio, endive, frisee and roasted pear salad with spicy chorizo, buttermilk blue cheese dressing and toasted almonds; and a sunchoke and celery root veloute with garlic chips and green onions. Flavorful main courses include a sautéed striped bass with leek noodles, shaved fennel in a lemon tarragon sauce or roasted veal loin with savory bread pudding and king oyster mushroom with a dried cherry sauce. Finally, indulge your sweet tooth with the ricotta cannoli accompanied by pistachios, cherries, and a red wine reduction. A selection of artisan cheeses is also available.
