March 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Norwood, MA - IMC Club International, Inc., headquartered in Massachusetts, is opening three new Chapters in the next two weeks.  Pilots will gather at Iowa Flight Training in Cedar Rapids on March 6th; North Ramp Aviation in South Burlington, VT on March 8th and MotionAir Aviation in Midlothian, TX; for the official inaugural meeting of the new IMC Club Chapters.  At the meeting, prospective members will be given the opportunity to interact with IMC Club founder and President Radek Wyrzykowski. The IMC Club is an organization dedicated to promoting safety and proficiency among its instrument rated members.

Tim Bush (Cedar Rapids, IA), Rob Lowe (South Burlington, VT) and Bill Ervin (Midlothian, TX) will lead the new chapters as Chapter Presidents.

Aviation evangelist Tim Busch is a Certified Flight Instructor and Tae Kwon Do Master, President and Chief Flight Instructor of Iowa Flight Training, President of the non-profit Iowa Aviation Promotion Group. He regularly appears as a Merger & Acquisition manager at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, a manufacturer of avionics and communications systems.  Tim earned an MBA from the University of Iowa, a BS in Computer Science from Mount Mercy College, and an AS in Electronic Engineering at Hawkeye Community College.  A frequent contributor to aviation-related magazines and newsletters and an annual speaker at AirVenture Oshkosh, Tim’s goal is the eventual conversion of all drivers to pilots, reducing congestion on America’s roadways.

Rob Lowe caught the flying bug in 2002 when he used to shuttle back and forth between Burlington, VT and Los Angeles every six months or so. He has been flying in the Champlain Valley and the Green Mountains ever since then. He earned his private pilot license in 2005 and added instrument wings in 2006. Since then, he has picked up his commercial license, a multi-engine rating, and instructor ratings for airplane single-engine, airplane multi-engine, and instrument airplane.

“I'm a big fan of grabbing a pilot buddy or two and taking trips to keep my instrument-rating current.” – says Rob

Bill Ervin, CFII, is a retired Border Patrol Officer. He spent several years planning his flight school, MotionAir, which opened for business at the beginning of 2012. MotionAir is located at Mid-Way Regional Airport south of Dallas Texas and uses the Piper Warrior as its fixed wing platform and the Redbird FMX for simulator training. Bill’s goal is to -”build my business by helping pilots become more and more proficient”.  He’s a believer in the value of simulation and plans to use the Redbird extensively in his training curriculum.

One of the primary goals of the IMC Club is to increase pilot confidence and proficiency by training in actual instrument conditions and discuss their experience in the environment of a chapter meeting. The club was established as a learning resource for instrument-rated pilots, and for students pursuing their instrument ratings. To accomplish this, monthly meetings are held at local chapters around the country to help pilots and students build and maintain their IFR skills, and to share stories and tips from their fellow pilots. With the addition of these three chapters, IMC Club now has 33 chapters around the country.
